Dan Poag is the Chairman of the Board for Poag Shopping Centers. In this role, he oversees thecompany’s long‐term strategic direction and ensures achievement of financial objectives.

With more than 35 years of experience in real estate development, finance, and property management, Dan brings a depth of industry knowledge that is unmatched. During the 1970s and 80s, he purchased, syndicated, and developed single and multi‐family residential, office, and retail properties in Memphis. Prior to his formation of the original lifestyle center development company, Dan partnered in the development of Kroger and K‐Mart anchored shopping centers throughout the Southeastern United States.

Dan is a member of and has leadership positions with a number of community organizations. He has served as Chairman of the Board of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and Theater Memphis, on the Executive Committee of the Memphis Area Chapter of the Urban Land Institute, on the Board of the Memphis Regional Design Center, and on the Executive Committee of Omni Prep Academy.

Dan earned his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and his MBA from Emory University.
